What an incredible first week of shows on this tour with Papa Roach, In This Moment and From Ashes to New! We kicked off this string of dates by checking off a bucket list item for me right out of the gate on September 4th when we headlined my dream gig at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY.
Having grown up in Lexington, the red carpet was rolled out by the entire city for one Hell of a homecoming. I had the opportunity to tour the UK Basketball Team practice facilities and team locker room at Rupp Arena.
To commemorate the gig, a good friend of mine, Jason Oberly, painted one of my Spector CK4 Signature Series bass guitars with the faces of all five coaches from UK who brought home 8 NCAA championship trophies. Hopefully, this bass will end up encased in glass and housed at Rupp Arena! I’ll let you know when that bucket list entry is marked off as well!
The next night took us into Cincinnati. Having been in a band that placed second YEARS ago in the Bogart’s Royal Rumble, it felt GREAT to roll into Cincy as a headliner for what was an incredible set in front of another massive crowd.
Speaking of massive crowds, Mount Pleasant, MI showed up in full force – 10,000 strong! I LOVE a great outdoor show and this one certainly surpassed my already high expectations. HUGE thanks to each and every one of you that came out to experience a beautiful Michigan evening as we burnt the place down.
On top of all of these great concerts, our sixth album “Got Your Six” hit stores on September 4th as well! The reviews from the fans have been great. The responses to the new material in our live set has been incredible. Hell of a first week out here on the road!
